Louise gains inspiration from the French Quarter, the oldest settlement of New Orleans in the heart of Louisiana. It is a region with deep cultural richness thanks to its awe-inspiring bold colors, characteristic wrought-iron balconies, each differentiated by its patterns, and settlement of Spanish, French, and Italian colonies in a Caribbean town. Louise is a reinterpretation of New Orleans. The streets of the city, where daily life meets architecture, are decorated with colorful flowers hanging from balconies. In the side streets, residents walk on the sidewalks shaded by the building. The details we see on the building facades are also carried to the interiors: Varied patterns and bold colors are balanced with plain wood veneer walls. Light is an integral part of venues, giving third dimension to forms, giving motion. Although there are clues of French bistros in the venues, the Spanish heritage cast-iron columns are indispensable. The ceilings are separate canvases. Metal decorative panels are sometimes calm, sometimes they turn to wood and attract attention. The paintings describing daily life are always colorful and vivid. Caribbean-inspired colors, patina walls and palm tree leaves are reflections of the temperate climate.
